RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures that all Rooms and F&B linen, Guests Clothing, Residences and Employee Uniforms are cleaned on a timely basis and in a cost-efficient manner.

2. Train and supervise all Laundry/ Valet employees.
3. Participate in the daily routine of receiving, handling, tagging, spotting, cleaning, pressing and packaging of all guests or employees’ clothes; and inventories.
4. Resolves guests’ complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Handle internal and eventual external telephone calls professionally and courteously with a helpful attitude to the guest and to fellow employees.
5. Assist in meeting the financial goals of the department. Monitors and controls labor expense and other divisional expenses. Coordinates periodic Linen, Uniform and Supplies Inventories, and other reports.
6. Maintain good working relationships with all departments in the hotel and outsourced laundry.
7. Maintain a clean and organized working environment in the Laundry/Valet department at all times.
8. Requisition and handle all equipment and chemicals in Laundry/Valet as well as train those in the department in their proper use and care.
9. Monitor a maintenance program for all equipment developed by Engineering.
10. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping/Housekeeping Manager or Asst. Housekeeping Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of at least 2 years of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand

An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task

High level of understanding and knowledge of laundry/valet operations

Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
