Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor inventory levels regularly to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage inventory replenishment schedules based on demand forecasts.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate detailed reports for analysis.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for inventory storage, organization, and safety compliance.
  • Analyze sales trends and inventory turnover rates to inform purchasing decisions and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with various departments, such as sales and finance, to align inventory strategies with business objectives.
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff on proper inventory handling techniques and system usage.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate better pricing and terms for inventory purchases.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control or supply chain roles within a relevant industry.
  • Certifications in inventory management, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, will be advantageous.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software is essential for efficient operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions based on inventory metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management to effectively track and report inventory data.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in inventory records and compliance with standards.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus for global operations.
