RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist senior engineers in the quantity takeoffs, design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and calculations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and address any issues on-site.
• Assist in quantity surveying tasks including cost estimation, budgeting, and material take-offs.
• Prepare and track project costs, ensuring projects stay within budget.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotations and track material costs.
• Assist in managing change orders, variations, and payments for contractors and suppliers.
• Help ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Provide support with contract administration and the preparation of project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Candidates with proficiency and experience in quantity surveying, pre and post-tendering, cost estimation, budgeting, and material management are preferred.
• Technical knowledge and management capability to handle various small-term construction projects independently.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other cost management tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
