Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent discrepancies.
- Develop and implement efficient storage systems to maximize warehouse space and improve accessibility of stock.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and streamline the supply chain process.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including supervising junior staff and scheduling shifts.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports for management review.
- Ensure proper handling and storage conditions for various types of products, adhering to industry standards.
- Train and mentor new employees on best practices for inventory management and safety protocols.
- Resolve any inventory-related issues or discrepancies promptly, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, providing a solid foundation in inventory principles.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in inventory management or warehousing operations, showcasing proven expertise.
- Certifications in inventory management (such as CPIM or CSCP) are highly regarded, demonstrating professional commitment.
- Experience in retail, wholesale, or manufacturing industries is essential, highlighting adaptability to various environments.
- Candidates from diverse national backgrounds are encouraged to apply, fostering a multicultural work atmosphere.
- Fluency in English and hindi is mandatory, with additional language skills considered a significant advantage for communication.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, showcasing technical adeptness.
