Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies tailored to optimize supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery and reduced costs.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including demand forecasting, stock control, and replenishment strategies to minimize excess and shortages.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and freight carriers to establish reliable transport schedules, negotiating terms to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize advanced logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and analyzing performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements to prevent delays and legal issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in troubleshooting logistical challenges, proactively identifying solutions and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes and supply chain activities to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.
  • Prepare and present detailed logistics reports to senior management, showcasing performance indicators and strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare and maintain Bill of Entry and other customs documents inside JAFZA
  • Coordinate with Customs Authorities for smooth clearance of the import and export shipments
  • Maintaining proper records of the cargo received and shipped in JAFZA warehouse

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, adequate experience can compensate the educational qualifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably within fast-paced industries.
  • Experience with ERP systems and logistics software, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic, French or Russian are highly desirable for global operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders across cultures.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, World)
  • Sound knowledge of Bill of Entry and Customs processes
