RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembles, and weld
• Lay out, position, align, and fit welding/fabrication components together
• Fabricate welding requirements from sketches, blueprints or instructions
• Weld, braze, solder, cut, and excavate all types of materials in all positions on components, assemblies and systems in line with required welding standards and requirements
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, GTAW-ARC (TIG) welding, submerged arc, or other welding process used by company
• Repairs/reworks products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Use hand and power tools to perform work.
• Examine weld for bead size and other visual specifications.
• Lay out, positions, and tack weld structure/ pieces for fit-up
• Weld along vertical or overhead weld lines
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter
• Assemble completed spool pieces into final assemblies per drawings and spec sheets
• Be able to qualify for desired welding standards
• Any other duties assigned by the department head
• Handling NDT in DPT and capable for visually identify the defects

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years minimum in welding jobs of pipe and 06 G techniques
• Ability to Tig weld on thin wall stainless steel using fusion & weld wire techniques
• Ability to multitask and self-prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties
• Ability to work both individually and in a team setting
• Ability to actively listen, understand and effectively communicate and follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Basic Literacy Skills required
• Ability to interpret (read) and work from blue prints
• Previous forklift experience preferred
