Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately process customer transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring minimal wait times and optimal customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is neatly displayed and easily accessible to customers.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing assistance and answering inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with precision, ensuring proper change is given and all financial exchanges are securely managed.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register, reporting discrepancies or low stock to management to ensure prompt replenishment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required; further education in business or finance is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential for efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in English; additional languages are a valuable asset.
- Strong numerical skills to ensure accurate transactions and effective cash management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for customers.
