Job Description

We are looking for an Registered Pharmacist in our company.

Responsibilities

  1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring correctness and legality. Consult prescribers as needed.
  2. Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions, addressing concerns and questions.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapy, monitor safety, and adjust dosages as required.
  4. Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards, manage inventory, and handle controlled substances.
  5. Educate patients on adherence, potential risks, and lifestyle modifications for better treatment outcomes.
  6. Keep accurate patient records, documenting interactions, interventions, and recommendations promptly.
  7. Partner with healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care and participate in team meetings.
  8. Stay updated on pharmaceutical knowledge, new drugs, and evidence-based practices through ongoing education and apply this knowledge to provide optimal care.

Required Skills

  1. Strong communication skills for clear interactions with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members. Ability to simplify complex medication information.
  2. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy to ensure patient safety and prevent errors when dispensing medications.
  3. In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and medication management. Ability to assess patient conditions and plan appropriate therapy.
  4. Compassion and active listening to meet patient needs and address concerns with personalized care.
  5. Effective critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to analyze medication issues, assess risks, and prioritize tasks.
  6. Proficiency in pharmacy software, electronic records, and digital tools for patient management, medication dispensing, and administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications

  1. Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  2. Valid and current pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  3. Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
  4. Minimum of [6] years of experience working as a licensed pharmacist.
  5. Additional certifications or specialized training in areas such as immunization, compounding, or medication therapy management may be preferred.
  6. Strong understanding of insurance billing and reimbursement processes.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, if required.
